I am a rising Junior at the University of Pennsylvania pursuing a dual degree at the Wharton school and the nursing school in nursing and Health care management and am seeking part time work as a care companion. I previously was employed as a nursing aid/caregiver for a 61-year-old man who suffered a serious stroke that left him wheelchair bound and nonverbal. As such I have experience with transferring wheelchair to bed, wheelchair to toilet, etc. Additionally, I have experience administering meds through a PEG tube, running tube feeds as well as preparing meals and maintaining the household. I am able to provide references. Unfortunately my previous employer recently passed away and so I am now seeking similar care giving employment.

Karissa was a caretaker for my dad after he suffered a massive stroke and required extensive care and assistance. She did an outstanding job of helping him with his activities of daily living, providing companionship and working with him to regain many of the abilities he had lost after the stroke. I could not recommend her more highly!
