About Karla

Most recently, I worked as a daycare teacher at Uno Dos Tres Academy, a Spanish immersion school, in Portland. I worked with a co-teacher caring for toddlers between the ages of 1 and 2. We planned lessons for the toddlers daily, focusing on science, letters, numbers, animals, and the outdoors. We encouraged confidence, curiosity, and helped the children learn how to regulate their emotions. Originally, I held the position of a floater at the school and substituted in both the preschool and toddler side. I am confident in my ability to connect with children and I would love the opportunity to continue teaching and learning from them. Also, I would like to add that I am registered with the Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care. And to be transparent, I will be out of town from December 20th-January 11th.
