About Kate

I am originally from Guangzhou, China but was adopted and raised in Santa Barbara, CA. I attended public education, through the honors and AP curriculum, while competitively participating within club soccer throughout my childhood. I moved to San Diego, CA at 18 to pursue a double Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Communication Studies. Upon graduating this past May, I have chosen to take a gap year before entering a masters program to continue my education. I have earned my CPR/AED certification as well as my BLS and have specifically studied children with developmental challenges. Alongside my studies, I also volunteer as a cognitive-behavioral research intern! In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga, going to the beach, and cooking new meals! My passion to help others does not imply a specific age category. I have worked with children as young as 16 months up to adults in need of supervision in their mid 80's and enjoyed both profusely.
