About Kate

Hello! I am a third year resource english language arts teacher with 10 years experience working with children and adults with autism and other developmental and language disorders. I am particularly passionate about working with students with dyslexia, and helping students achieve independent literacy. I'd describe my personality as considerate, creative, and enthusiastic. I like tutoring because it offers the best parts of teaching on a personal level! I started tutoring when I started teaching 4 years ago and had students that needed more help. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my nephew and dog. I also love going for walks, reading, and playing video games. One thing you should know about me is that nothing is more satisfying to me than helping someone make progress in their learning goals. My skills include my in-depth knowledge of speech and language sciences, my creativity to help find fun ways for students to learn, and behavior management for students
