About Katharine

Katharine has blessed our home and family as our nanny for two years, starting with our oldest daughter from 1.5-3.5 years old, and our youngest daughter from 3 months to 1 year old. We have had several nannies but Katharine has been the best fit in many ways for us. Her organization and cleanliness is a gift that went above and beyond the requirements of the job (we’re so grateful). She is gentle, kind, and excellent with boundaries with our children and with us as parents. Her communication has always been respectful, considerate, and direct. She is a planner and provided reasonable notice for time off. She’s great with planning and preparing healthy meals. She is reliable and safety conscious. She's been a great teacher to our toddler: helping her learn self regulation in new and successful ways, preparing a homemade workbook to teach her to draw and color (ABC’s, shapes, coloring in lines, matching, colors, etc), and helping test and gauge her readiness for potty training and sleeping in her big bed. She’s been comforting with our infant and attentive to her emotional and physical needs around transitions to a bottle, sleeping in a crib in her own room, and starting to eat solids. She’s built a strong connection with both of our daughters for them to feel safe, understood, and appreciated. She’s been happy to balance outdoor and indoor time as well as light housework. She provides insight, feedback, and knowledge that has helped us feel connected and assured of her attentiveness to our children’s needs. Truly, I cannot say enough good things about Katharine, she is wonderful to work with and I personally feel like your family would be lucky to have her!
