About Katharine

Hi! My name is Katie and I am going into my sixth year of teaching 1st grade and I have been nannying and babysitting for over 10 years. I have been working as a private tutor with ages k-12 for 5 years. I also dog/pet sit! I am an aunt to my amazing nephews and niece. I recently graduated with my masters in Literacy Intervention and am very passionate about school readiness and early literacy opportunities. Other past work experience: I cleaned private homes and public buildings for two years while I was in college. I worked as a Direct Care Worker for children with autism for 18 months. I worked as a youth leader for middle school and high school students for two years. I love to stay busy! I love to cook, bake, clean, organize, travel, explore nature, do crafts and science experiments, and prioritize fun educational activities.
