About Katherine

I have my Bachelors Degree in Elementary and Special Education. The past 4 years I have taught students on the Autism Spectrum or with Emotional Disabilities. I taught my students with Autism all academic subjects, coping skills, social skills and personal hygiene. In my class of students with Emotional Disabilities I taught academics, social skills and coping skills. These two jobs taught me so much patience and understanding and my love for these children grew daily. Before I was a teacher, I held babysitting jobs with multiple families (ages 1-10 years old). In high school I was primarily a date night sitter and occasionally would help with after school or evening routines such as pick up, snack, homework, dinner and bedtime. I was a fulltime nanny for a 1-year-old boy when I was 18. I would help with meals, snacks, change diapers, and naptime routines. We went on trips to the library, pool, park, zoo, and aquarium- anything to keep busy!
