About Katherine

I'd describe my personality as friendly, open and compassionate. I like caring for seniors because they are full of knowledge, experience and deserve dignity and compassion as elders. My grandmother didn't drive, and once I received my license, I provided help with her medication pickups, appointments and needs. When my older neighbors and church members struggled to make meals, manage technology or had transportation issues, I volunteered, as I had a full time career until my recent retirement. My father developed dementia, and our family tag team cared for him for 10 years, ensuring he was able to stay home until his end. In my spare time, I like to read, cook and spend time with my husband, family and Yorkshire Terrier. I am very tech savvy and love to discuss art, current events and learn from others. One thing you should know about me is I am a good communicator and non-smoker, with personal experience in dementia, cancer, diabetes and chronic illnesses.
