About Katherine

My interests include design, children's books, crafts, music, trying new food, yoga, barre, and paddle boarding. I've been an east-coaster most of my life, but moved west to CA in 2015 and then to UT in 2019. I first attended college at Wingate University, where I earned my BS in Elementary Education. I went on to teach in VA for the next 6 years, teaching grades 4 and K. I moved to CA and worked as a full-time nanny for a wonderful family for 3 years. I also did nanny-shares with 3 other lovely families during that time. I began taking online classes at RMCAD in 2018 to study graphic design. I moved to UT during this time and worked part-time while continuing to take classes. I finished my BFA in Graphic Design in 2021 and then briefly returned to teaching from 2022 to 2024, teaching grades 6 and 3. Since then, I've been freelancing and nannying. I'm now looking for temporary part-time nanny gigs as I look for a full-time design position.
