First let me introduce myself. My name is Kathy. I have several years of experience caring for seniors with and without special needs. I would appreciate if you could disregard the review posted. This situation was a very isolated, extraordinary incident and this review was unnecessarily, inappropriately aggressive. I can provide references and would be happy to discuss. I will assist seniors in need of service due to aging, illness and loss of a partner. I am experienced in providing care and companionship to seniors with chronic illness including dementia, COPD, cancer, heart disease, Parkinson's, and dementia. I will assist with medication management, hygiene, direct supervision and companionship. I will handle household chores and errands and transportation when necessary. BEWARE!!! Kathleen interviewed in person on a Monday and committed to Tues-Thurs weekly noon-6. She could not start until Wed that 1st week. The next day (Tuesday) she notified us that she would be late on Wed because of an appt. She then texted Wed and said she couldn't make it at all. Later that day we tried to contact her regarding Thursday. We called her twice and she did not respond. We texted her Thursday morning and her response was that "the ringer on her phone was off for 2 days!!"....Oh and that she could not work Thursday. I wrote her a lengthy text asking her if there was a problem. Well, it's been almost a week and still no response. Unprofessional, undependable, rude...this person doesn't belong in the care business or any business for that matter. Care.com should investigate this incident and consider removing her profile.
