I have enjoyed working with seniors for 30 years through my own business. I discovered my love of this demographic when I worked at the Memory Disorders Clinic at Duke. Most of our patients were older and I found them to be such treasures. I have learned so much through my experiences over this time and have developed a certain specialty in advocating and communicating during medical visits. My approach is to help support folks in being as independent as possible. I don't infantilize people. If it helps, I'm also a big TarHeel, having gone to college. I studied Psychology and worked toward a degree in Social Work. I think I bring a unique approach to my work as I am more focused on forming relationships with my clients and working within that. The tasks get done, but it's not about the tasks, it's about people.
