About Kathryn

With over four years of experience in tutoring and a B. A. in English from UCLA, I am well-equipped to support your child in achieving their academic goals. I tutor students in grades K-12 in English and the social sciences, and grades K-6th in math. My approach emphasizes developing critical thinking and building confidence, so students feel empowered to engage with unfamiliar material, enjoy the learning process, and take pride in their progress. I offer support in foundational grammar and literacy skills, test preparation, study habits, reading comprehension, research, essay writing, literary analysis, creative writing, and college applications.
