For the past 14 years I have been taking care of children of all ages for a range of times for different families. Several of my jobs were for more than 2-4 years each. I often have worked concurrently with other families for shorter terms depending on their need. I enjoy getting to know a family and see how I can best help their specific child ( children) and their specific situation. It is important to me to know the vision and goals of the parent(s) so I can be well aligned with them. I am a mother with a grown son and daughter, as well as a grandmother of two boys. I was a preschool teacher many years ago, then worked in the corporate world for almost 18 years. I enjoy being with children and they have always been in my life. I have an educational background in Psychology. I value being able to contribute something to children that will help them now and in their future. I also value the fun and play they bring to my life.

Kathryn has been such a blessing to our family! She has worked with us for over a year 1-2 days a week. She is very attuned with our 2 year old daughter and her needs - physical, mental and developmental. My daughter enjoys it when Kathryn comes over! She is just the right balance of playful and fun while having the clear boundaries and expectations that a toddler needs to thrive. My daughter always has a good day of outside play, snacks and meals, creative play, music and art time. Kathryn helped us with our daughter falling asleep independently during nap time, creating smooth transitions when we needed to leave and working on some independent play. She is always on time/early and communicates well about scheduling. We are glad to have her in our lives!
