Hi! I began babysitting when I was 13, starting with helping out family members, then moving on to help family friends. I have now worked with special needs children in a professional setting for over 10 years, and absolutely love it! I have experience with children and young adults with behavioral challenges, high medical needs, and kids that just need someone to talk to. I thoroughly enjoy seeing children begin to thrive when given the opportunity. I believe in learning by play and experiences! I love being able to help children become involved in their communities, and build healthy relationships with their peers. I am also working on completing my bachelor's degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, and then will obtain my master's to become a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst. My goal is to provide all children with access to developmental, emotional, and social growth opportunities. I have some basic ASL and Spanish knowledge as well.

Katie took the time to meet my kids where they are with their needs. My son is speech delayed, and Katie was patience kind and engaging with him. Being a mom of 4, it’s not often I find someone that can handle all of my kids at once with their varying needs. Katie did. She learned their interests, and made them feel like they were the most important person in the world when spending time with them. She also was incredible at making sure their routines stayed in place, as well as limiting screen time when needed. My home was tidy and my kids were asleep when we came home in the evenings. She was willing to go above and beyond offering the pick our children up from school to make my life a bit easier on days when shuffling two schools was not a viable solution. I don’t think I can recommend her highly enough. She is like having a cool aunt for your kids. If you hire Katie, your childcare search will end with her.
