About Katie

I've been a professional nanny off and on for the past 15 years. I do have experience with infants and babies but most of my experience is with children ages 3 to 10 years old, where the main focus is on things like exploration of the world around us, language development, healthy eating, and communication skills. I believe that kids deserve just as much respect and autonomy as adults, and allowing kids to have a voice and ask questions helps them learn and grow. I'm also an artist and paint pet portraits in my free time, so I love to incorporate art projects into my time with kiddos. I come from a family of 8 kids and spent a lot of time babysitting my younger brothers. I've also raised both puppies and kittens, so I've been around tiny humans and creatures my entire life! I've found some really special families to work with through Care and I'm looking forward to building more long-lasting relationships.
