About Katie

I have worked with children for 17 years and am experienced with ages infant to 11. I am willing to take in children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old. Hours are negotiable. I will provide meals as well as educational stimulation. We do not watch much TV during the day, preferring to spend time on educational activities, such as reading, crafts, outdoor play, and the occasional field trip to the zoo, children's museum, aquarium, or local story time. I have a background in finance but left the professional workforce 14 years ago. I have been watching children in my home ever since. Having recently located back to the area from Illinois, I am ready to resume my childcare services once care services. My 4-year-old daughter will also be home during the day while my other three are at school until around 3.

Katie was our son's first babysitter from the age of 3 months up until 22 months old. She took care of our son full time and was excellent in every way. She was highly attentive to our son's needs, very perceptive, sensitive, intelligent, caring, loving, very reliable, able, responsible, has very good judgement, is honest and up-front, was in excellent communication (always), and she went above and beyond, always with our son's best interest in mind. She regularly took our son to the library for story time, to our local science center, the zoo, playgrounds and indoor play areas and other local places that were age-appropriate where our son really enjoyed himself. She always communicated in advance regarding plans for the week, followed-through with those plans and provided daily reports on our son. I highly recommend Katie, without reservation, to anyone looking for excellent care for their child. We miss her!
