About Kayla

Hi, my name is Kayla! I graduated from the University of Washington with my degree in Early Childhood Education and I am CPR and First Aid Certified! While in Seattle, I taught at a preschool for 3 years where I worked with children aged 12 months to 6 years old. I love working with children because it is so much interesting seeing the world through their eyes and witnessing them grow as time goes on. Through my experience, I have gotten great at finding creative solutions to problems, keeping my cool under stressful situations, and creating a warm and safe environment, among other things! Two things I really value are fostering social-emotional skills, like building relationships and understanding emotions, and reading with children as much as possible.
