About Kayla

I have experience working as a Childcare Leader with Takoma Park Recreation, where I supervised and cared for children ages 5-12 in a structured recreational setting. I was responsible for maintaining a safe environment, leading daily activities, managing group behavior, and supporting children's social and emotional development. Before TPR, I have worked at Levine Music School for two years as a camp leader for toddlers. In this role, I supported daily routines such as playtime, meals, music lessons, crafts, and transitions, while closely monitoring safety and providing age-appropriate activities that encouraged early learning and development. I am comfortable caring for multiple children, managing different ages , and adjusting my approach to meet each child's individual needs. I value clear communication with parents and always prioritize safety, structure, and positive engagement.
