I have worked in an Alzheimer's facility for about 1-2 years and I loved it. My responsibilities were bathing, meal prep, medication, and helping orchestrate activities and outings for our patients. Now I occasionally volunteer at nursing homes when I can just because I enjoy being in their presence. I think that companionship is important and I would love to be that person for your family member.
