About Kelsey

I aim to instill a genuine love of learning in my students, focusing on confidence-building rather than rote memorization. I actively listen and observe to assess individual learning styles, adapting my teaching methods accordingly. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples or personal interests to keep students motivated. Communication is essential for understanding student needs and setting clear expectations. The most rewarding aspect of tutoring is witnessing a student's "aha!" moment when a concept finally clicks. I have some college experience and can help with English and study skills for middle and high school students. I am comfortable with pets, have a car, and am willing to tutor at a student's home, online, or in a coffee shop. I also speak and understand Cantonese. I would love to help you succeed!
