About Kelsey

Hi! I've been a high school Biology teacher for almost 4 years in Wai'anae. I earned my bachelor's degree in Environmental Science with a minor in Spanish from Willamette University in 2022. Before teaching, I worked as a tutor for 3 years in college, supporting students in science, math, English, and Spanish. I also have experience guiding students through college prep, including FAFSA and application support. As a tutor and teacher, I focus on making learning relevant and practical for each student. I believe every student can succeed once they discover the topic, style, or method that works best for them. My approach is about building confidence, applying learning to real-life situations, and finding strategies that stick. I also bring experience working in inclusive and Special Education classrooms, so I'm comfortable adapting lessons for different learning needs.
