About Kemiah

Hi! I'm Kemiah. I'm a first grade teacher with a Master's in Education, and I'm currently in school continuing to build on my degree. Working with kids is literally what I do every day, so I'm very comfortable managing routines, behaviors, and making learning fun without it feeling forced. I also offer tutoring for elementary students, especially in reading, phonics, and math. I work with a lot of different learning levels, so I know how to meet kids where they are and help them grow. I'm big on being attentive, patient, and actually engaging with kids not just "watching" them. I like to keep them active, learning, and in a good environment. I do have a young son, so I'm looking for families who are okay with me bringing him along when needed. He's used to being around other kids and does well in social settings. I'm mainly available for date nights, evenings, and weekends, and I'm pretty reliable when it comes to showing up and doing what I say I'll do.
