About Kiera

Hello. I started babysitting when I was 15 on an as-needed basis for people in my neighborhood and church. I have worked with mentally and physically handicapped people from the age of 14-70. I worked with them for the past couple of years and really enjoy working with them and being a care taker for them. When I worked full-time we bathed them, changed diapers, and fed them. These people weighed from 80-200 lbs. I have seen it all, puke, every type of bowel and every type of behavior. To be specific, I have been hit, kicked, bit, spit up on and been able to remain in control and calm. Yet through all of this I still wish I could work there, but I am going to school and they did not offer part-time. I also was watching at least 5 people at a time, but helping take care of 15. I now live in Lynchburg, Virginia and work as a Certified Nursing Assistant at a local nursing home part time as well as going to school. I am responsible for 10 people each night to do all personal care needs. I love my job and all the sweet people I get the privilege to care for.
