About Kirsten Dei

I've been a child and youth program assistant at a child development center since 2022. I started in preschool and eventually moved to the infant age group and stayed there for over a year. I became a floater for all age groups including pre-toddlers and toddlers when I went back to undergrad in 2023. I'm currently working as a preschool assistant teacher in my program. To me, working with kids is rewarding and meaningful. One thing you should know about me is I am introverted. I think this enables me to become more patient, sensitive and empathetic especially when it comes to challenging behaviors. I am also adaptable and understand that every child is different. I am great with observing and matching children's energies and interests. Lastly, I have ample knowledge in child care and development which helps in providing developmentally and age-appropriate care and activities. I highly value working in a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment where respect is mutual.
