About Kirsten

I like working with kids because they are curious and always looking for new ways to solve problems. I think it's important to remain curious and be able to sit with not knowing or interested in figuring out an answer in a time when information is at our fingertips. I have been working with children since high school. I have a Ph D and MA in Philosophy and a BA in Psychology. In my spare time, I like to do tae kwon, cook, and am learning how to garden (with limited success) and raise backyard chickens. My family moved here this summer from North Carolina and I am looking for a family that needs full time care. I am transitioning careers from teaching at the university level to child care as a result of the move and am currently working as a lead toddler teacher at a local preschool. I am hoping to transition to working with a single family to develop a closer relationship with both family and child. If you think that I could be the right fit for your family, please reach out!
