I have been a caregiver for the past seven years. First for my mother. I was her medical advocate, as she was in and out of the hospital, quite a bit the last years of her life. Then five years for a client who became a dear friend. I scheduled and took her to doctors appointments. Took her shopping and to do errands. I helped her with bill paying and insurance paperwork. When she needed extra care, I hired and trained the new caregivers. I managed a great team of caregivers and my friend/client was very happy. I'm very organized and I enjoy cooking.

Kirsten is a life saver and the answer to our prayers! We weren’t sure how my brother with Dementia would take to having a caregiver, as his mantra is “I don’t need any help, there’s nothing wrong...” Upon their first meeting he made some inappropriate comments towards her that we thought would be a deal breaker, but she handled it with such grace and compassion and has won his trust. He has come to rely on Kirsten and consider her a friend as do the rest of the family. Her professionalism is perfectly balanced with her personality. She takes initiative but always checks with us to ensure we agree before she takes action. She genuinely cares about her clients and takes her responsibility for these folks very seriously, at the same time upholding safe boundaries. Her communication is exemplary; her attention to detail stellar. I was my brother’s caretaker for a year while his disease progressed. With Kirsten’s help, I am finally able to release the worry, breathe easy and relax in the knowledge that we have a trusted ally in Kirsten and my brother’s care is in excellent hands.
