Experience: 16 yrs
I have been an EMT since 2008. In 2023 my dad suffered a stroke and I was his caregiver for 1. 5 years. It was something special to have him at home where he was comfortable. I recieved many complements how well my dad was cared for. He never developed any sores despite being sitting/laying majority of the time. I would love to be able to extend my help to other family's in need. I have experience with: Personal Care (bathing, changing, as well as placing a condom cath) Transfers (hoyer lift, assisted stand pivot sit, assisted walking) to/from beds, commode, wheelchairs, chairs, cars Therapy (PT, OT, ST) activities and games Med management Meal prep Post stroke care Hoyer lift Nebulizer Dementia (combative and non) Adapting to patient needs to be comfortable Wound care CPR certified Animal Friendly Reliable transportation
Krista is amazing! She is the most conscientious caregiver we have ever had, attentive to my father's care requirements and going way beyond. Krista is an excellent communicator, sending me email updates when she is with my father and she does not hesitate to contact me if she has any questions - which I prefer to caregivers who guess and do things wrong. Krista keeps us apprised of any possibly delays in her arrival time and has been willing to stay if/as needed to handle extra care issues. She has new ideas to try for helping my stroke-disabled father and I especially appreciate that she is not distracted by her phone as many caregivers tend to be these days. She is, instead, fully present as all caregivers should be. Krista has proven trustworthy and dependable, compassionate and attentive to details. My father's care is holistic and unconventional, so there are a number of novel methods and therapies Krista has had to learn and she has done so very quickly and effectively. We feel truly blessed to have connected with Krista!
