About Kristy

Kristy quickly established a relationship with my mother, and they became friends within a day. Kristy always arrived with a smile, and left my mother with a hug. Kristy was dedicated, kind and responsible. She settled in to 4 shifts, 12-hours each shift, per week; and she willingly worked extra hours when needed. Within a few months, my mother’s needs changed to 24/7 care. Kristy offered to help with extra hours, for which I was grateful. Her hours expanded to 56 hours per week. Caregiving become challenging, with my mother’s frustration over loss in independence. Kristy patiently engaged my mother and never flustered over any dementia behavior issues. Within a year, my mother needed to move to skilled care facility. I kept Kristy’s hours with my mother because Kristy had become part of our family, and my mother needed her. With my mother’s decline, Kristy made herself available to work extra hours. And Kristy sat with me, next to my mother, during her final days. Kristy was holding my mother’s hand when my mother passed. Kristy’s dedication to my mother was a blessing to me. Kristy has a heart of service, and mannerism of knowing how to help in a calm way. She has the skill of lovingly redirecting a situation. I trust Kristy entirely and learned from watching her with my mother. Anyone would be fortunate to have Kristy on their caregiver team.
