I've been a CNA since 1994, I have experience in Various settings. (Skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, hospice, in home care etc) For the last 15 years I was a staffing coordinator/manager/caregiver/driver/psychologist. :-/ for one of Austins Premier home health companies. So yes I was ready for a change. I love caring for the elderly and giving MUCH NEEDED RELIEF and support to their families. I've cared for clients with a variety of challenges Dementia, cancer, MS, all the way to end of life care. LaSonya helped take care of my mom for the last 8 months.  Mom had a fall and needed help with mobility, toileting, dressing, physical therapy exercises.  LaSonya was a wonderful, skilled caregiver who was great with mom and always ready to help.  Even though she was hired to care for mom, she was there for my father too if he needed a bit of help with household duties.  LaSonya was initially there for the nights to help with bathroom duties, but then also added hours to help with the morning , breakfast, lunch etc.  LaSonya pretty much did what needed doing in the house including laundry and light housekeeping. She was a self-starter and was diligent in keeping the home clean and disinfected especially during these corona virus  days. We would have loved to have her continue, but decided we needed a live-in caregiver at this time. I know that my parents really grew to care for LaSonya and miss her.   If the situation changes, we would have no hesitation in hiring LaSonya again!

Latonya was extremely knowledgeable. she helped with my mom's mobility at night. we would use her again if the need arises.

LaSonya has been working full time for my mother, who has Alzheimer's, for the past year and half, during which time she has been enormously helpful and competent.  She is caring, entertaining, patient and highly skilled in helping her to eat and sleep better, to enjoy her day and to improve her mood and functioning despite the challenges of her progressive illness.  One of LaSonya's other clients recently died, leaving her with a number of free hours to work for someone else who might be in need of the same loving, professional care. Lasonya was a caregiver for my wife in her last two years of Alzheimer's. She was not only a complete professional in her work, but was also warm and caring toward S., always willing to do more than required, always ready to pitch in whenever and wherever needed. My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's 4 years ago, we needed help. After going through literally 14 (no joke, my mom didn't want help and found fault with every one)... We then hired LaSonya who broke through with respect, understanding and humor! She has been an integral part of our "team" for over 2 years, as we manage my mom's decline. With her positive attitude, attention to detail, reliability and solid communication skills, I highly trust and recommend her!!

LaSonya was unbelievable! I could not have made it through the last year without her. My grandmother steadily needed more and more care, and LaSonya was not only able to provide excellent care at each level, but facilitated communication and training with other care takers. She was always kind and compassionate, and we now think of her as part of our family. With the passing of my grandmother, we will not only mourn her, but we will mourn the daily interactions with LaSonya. Had I had the money, I would have been willing to pay her double or even triple. She watched out for every detail, notified us of every little change, scratch or bruise. When LaSonya was with Gram, I could think, breathe , work and relax, because I always knew she would do right by her, and do for her absolutely anything she needed or wanted (more often than not , before she could even ask) just like we did. LaSonya would brighten her days with little gifts and new tasty treats. Gram LOVED LaSonya, and so do we.

I had the pleasure of working with LaSonya for 15 years. She is an excellent caregiver with top notch skills.  She is gentle and compassionate with the client as well as the family members. LaSonya is a self started and takes direction well. She has provided care for my husband when I needed to be out of town and he thoroughly enjoyed having her with him. She would be an asset to all families needing additional care and companionship. 

LaSonya is great she helped our family for years.  Through some hard times my mom had several health issues with her diabetes and bed sores.  LaSonya was a true asset 

I had the opportunity to know LaSonya as a coworker and then also as a caregiver for my husband. 
She is most trustworthy, dedicated to the well being and comfort of her clients. Her pre nursing background is a perfect fit for her caregiver responsibilities. She is aware of issues with medications, vital sign issues, and has much knowledge of disease entities. She does not look at care giving as a job but instead as true dedication to her clients to assist them and the family in any way she can. 

This lady is wonderful!  Lasonya took care of my elderly diabetic father-in-law who had some dementia.  She was terrific with him and he loved her!  She made him feel very secure and he respected her for her knowledge of care giving.  Even when he did not want to shower she was able to gently get him to cooperate.  My father in law was a PhD nuclear physicist and liked to be in control.  However, with Lasonya, there was no doubt that she was in charge but in a very caring manner. Lasonya anticipated his needs and was always a step ahead of the situation.  All the family loves her too and enjoyed visiting with her.  The grand kids called her Lasagna and she would just laugh! So personable and helpful!  My father-in-law passed away we miss Lasonya as well as him!  She is one smart cookie and you will be lucky to have care for you loved one!

Lasonya is a wonderful person. And she is a delight to be around! She brings a lot of joy and good humor with her wherever she goes...I can't say enough good things about her! She is great with all ages and handles every situation with ease and comfort. She is amazing.
