I have been in the medical field for 24 years. I worked for hospice for 10. 5 years and I loved every bit of it! Working with my patients and their families, showing how I can make a difference at the end of life was the best experience for me. It was more than just giving a bath and changing clothes! Sometimes it was just spending time with the patient or the family to let them know everything is okay and we are here for them as much as we can be. Making someone comfortable, becoming close and feeling like you are part of their family is the best feeling you could ever have. To feel like you have accomplished making someone have their last wish before that times comes! The feeling is so deep in my heart that I am currently attending school to further my education to become a RN!
