About Laura

My heart is committed to helping students improve learning by building confidence and success. I have been teaching since 1997, and I transitioned to homeschool coaching after decades of classroom teaching. Now I am grateful for the opportunity to focus on tutoring. Being able to provide individualized attention is a gift, one that can help any person flourish. I have a B. S. in Elementary Education and an M. A in Secondary Education, and I hold a Professional Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a Supplementary Authorization for Mathematics. I have 10 years of experience teaching elementary school, 11 years of experience teaching middle school math and science, and one year teaching a special education class. I also worked for a few years as a homeschool coach with students in grades K-12. I have helped my own children navigate ADHD and ASD struggles, while focusing on the upside of our unique perspectives and approaches to learning and life.
