Hi! I'm Laura! I am very passionate about kiddos and have spent the past decade working with children, teens, young adults, and families in various mental health agencies in Asheville. I recently graduated with my masters in Mental Health Counseling and will be starting a full-time job as a therapist in November. In the meantime, I'm hoping to connect with a family or two who could use reliable, caring support a couple of times during the week or on weekends. Once my new role begins, I'd love to continue providing occasional evening and weekend babysitting as needed. I am CPR/first-aid certified and have also been trained in Triple P parenting and TCI (therapeutic crisis intervention). I have a deep love for the creative/expressive arts, being in the woods, making and eating delicious things and really just trying to immerse myself in spaces that help me to remain a kind, open, curious human. I'd love to get to know you and your fam and be an additional support on your journey

Laura was great with my 3 year old and 11 month old. We hired her on super short notice, and she was incredibly flexible and communicative. Very professional, but also very warm with the kids. They were comfortable with her immediately. We were staying at a rental that didn't quite have all the accommodations usually needed for little ones, but Laura was able to work with was available to keep the kids well-cared for. Wish we lived closer so she could care for our kids again!
