About Laura

Hi, I'm Laura! I have over five years of experience caring for and working with kids of all ages, ranging from newborns to late teens. I've worked as a babysitter in many private homes and as a camp counselor, where I led groups ranging from 8-10 campers at a time through activities including arts and crafts, swim lessons, rock climbing, and more. Managing daily routines for a such a large group of kids taught me to be creative, adaptable, and proactive. I'm also comfortable with homework help, driving to and from activities, grocery shopping and cooking, and bedtime routines. Beyond hands-on childcare, I worked in education policy research for four years with a focus on early learning, and I hold a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University. Families describe me as reliable, enthusiastic, and warm, and I love creating a safe, supportive space where kids can learn, grow, and have fun.
