I believe in the evidence based philosophy that children are whole humans deserving of respect and kindness, meeting them where they are acknowledging their development in all situations. Example: I don't expect dis-regulated kids to respond to requests, comprehend logic, or feel empathy. They need help in regulating themselves by being a calm safe space while they feel their emotions. Before they are able to cooperate and communicate in a kind way. I enjoying doing outdoor play, outings such as local parks and the library, educational activities, and crafts. I also have my own vehicle with 2 convertible car seats already installed. I spend my spare time with my own kids and working on our property building a food forest.

We are so grateful for the time Laurel has spent with our family. She has been a caring, reliable, and genuinely wonderful presence in our child’s life for the last year and half. Our child absolutely adores her and will often inquire if tomorrow will be a "Lolo" day. She is patient, attentive, and thoughtful in the way she engages, always finding creative and age-appropriate ways to support learning and play. She shares ideas and finds ways to break up their day, which can be challenging, as our child is still completely screen free. The only reason for this transition is a change in our family’s scheduling needs, as we now require more hours than she is currently able to provide. This decision is in no way a reflection of her work or dedication. We absolutely recommend her to any family looking for a kind, trustworthy, and nurturing caregiver.
