About Lauren

Since August 2024, I've had the joy of nannying two sisters (now 6 and 9) during afterschool hours, and supporting three other families with occasional care (ages 10mo-5y). Prior, I served as a teaching assistant in Montessori Toddler (15mo-3y) and Children's House (3-6y) classrooms, and substituted in early elementary. I'm known for my ability to hold space for children while maintaining a calm presence. I adore children's natural curiosity, and seek to instill a sense of independence with developmentally-appropriate support and encouragement. I am skillful in mediating conflict between children, and enjoy fostering their social-emotional education. I have helped new readers gain confidence, offered homework support, and am compassionate toward neurodivergent learners. I am very reliable and an excellent communicator. My priority is always a child's safety; I last completed a 4-hour Red Cross certification course in first aid and CPR for adults, children and infants in August 2023.
