About Lauren

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, talkative, and understanding. I like working with kids because I love to watch them grow in their confidence! There's nothing like watching a child who struggles with reading or writing gain more self assurance. I'm looking for a job that will allow me to connect with a local family that may need some extra assistance when it comes to their child's reading and writing abilities. I have worked with children 4th grade through college. I started working with kids when I was still in high school. My mom homeschooled us. So, I would teach my younger siblings and their friends. I continued working with older students as I went through college and after graduation. I also worked as a section editor for my university's newspaper and magazine where I mentored younger and less experienced writers. In my spare time, I like to travel, spend time with my husband, read, go to the beach, and drink matcha lattes.
