About Lauren

I really love kids had babysitting jobs since I was 13. I was one family's regular babysitter for many years, beginning when their girls were ages 4 and 9. Most often they were having dinner when I got there, so I cleaned up after, played with them, made snacks and got them ready and into bed. I also worked summer's as a camp counselor for kids ages 8-12 and in a physical therapist office with special needs children. Currently I am volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for 2 children in the system; a boy and a girl, ages 5 and 7. As part of my position I have regular visits with the kids, where we play games or help with homework. I am physically disabled and use crutches to get around, which is why a mother's helper position or one with slightly older kids work out well. I also don't drive but use metro/ cabs as transportation .
