About Lauren

Hello, I am a recent 2nd Grade Math and Science teacher. I LOVE teaching and have had a passion for learning and teaching since I was a little girl! At the age of 7, I taught my 3-year-old sister how to read and perform basic arithmetics. Before teaching 120 2nd Graders Math, I taught 700 1st - 5th Graders Math through Dreambox. Before teaching in Texas these past few years, I taught and tutored 3rd Graders at a bilingual school in San Jose, California. I was an Au Pair in Spain for three months after graduating Santa Clara University, where I tutored in English, Math, History, Science, and Language Arts. My degree in Neuroscience, Political Science, and Pre-Law allowed for a lot of childhood development and psychological/philosophical courses that have granted me deeper understanding and perspective I can apply to my over 13 plus years in Childcare. Feedback I consistently get from my students and the children I nanny is that I'm fun and I make learning fun and easy!
