About Laurie

I have just retired from working in hospice care for 23years. Previously worked in a nursing home for 4years. I have experience in all aspects of senior care including dementia patients. I'd describe my personality as friendly, confident, trustworthy. I like caring for seniors because I have really enjoyed helping them have the best day possible. I'm looking for a job that will keep me busy doing what I have loved and now miss doing. I started caring for seniors in the year 1999 when I became a state tested nursing assistant. I worked in a nursing home for 3 years and then went into hospice care where I became certified in hospice and palliative care. I worked for a well known hospice agency for 23 years. In my spare time, I like to read, do puzzles, visit family One thing you should know about me is that I am capable, friendly, and trustworthy. My skills include personal care, companionship, and giving families peace of mind that their loved one is well taken care of.
