Hello, dear families! As an Infant Specialist, caring for children has been the heart of my life for over 45 wonderful years. 

Since 1980, I've had the joy of nurturing children, including working with professional and high-profile families. I'm often described as trustworthy, patient, kind, calm, and compassionate, qualities I bring into every moment with the children in my care. 

I hold a Bachelor's in Environmental Education, childhood education certifications from Harvard, Stanford, Cornell, and Yale, and am pursuing a Master's in Mental Health Counseling. I retired from a nonprofit career in 2019.

I have a new car, clean driving record, am a nonsmoker, CPR and water safety certified, and also skilled in house management. My rate starts at $33/hr.

Laurie came to us on extremely short notice due to an unexpected emergency surgery. Prior to this I had never let anyone watch my 20 month old. To say we are picky would be an understatement but Laurie exceeded every expectation we had. She is truly the dream nanny. If we could keep her forever, we absolutely would. My youngest still nurses and co-sleeps, and Laurie kept him happy, comforted, and fully engaged the entire time I was away. She filled his days with enriching activities, outdoor time, and wonderful one-on-one attention. Her care, intuition, and calm presence are unmatched. In an ideal world, every child would be lucky enough to have a Laurie. We are so grateful for the time she spent with our family and couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Laurie started taking care of our child when he was 5 months old, and she is everything you would want in a Nanny. She loves children, and it shows in her patient, thoughtful, imaginative, and inspiring care of our son. Laurie has had a hand in raising 10 of her own children and takes great delight in guiding and caring for 5 grandchildren. She has taken many of her own children through home schooling and has a great ability to stimulate young minds. Her kindness and thoughtfulness leave no doubt about her compassion for children and their needs. I have also seen Laurie interact with children and grandchildren other than her own and she is as responsive to them as she is to her own. She is bright, positive and brilliant in her role as a child caretaker. She is ever prompt and prepared for her day and can act with gentle discipline and redirection when the unforeseen appears. She is dedicated and will do what she says she will do. One may find no better person suited to childcare.

I have known Laurie for 22 years and she is just the kindest, most responsible and attentive person! Her experience working with children and in the home is extensive, and I have witnessed firsthand how gifted she is with young ones. She often cares for my sister's children, who range in age from infant to tween. They absolutely adore her and it's very obvious how at ease she is with them. She also assists the older kids with tutoring and homework and helps keep my sister's home clean and tidy.
