About Leah

I've been working with children since the age of 16, when I first began working as a mother's helper for 3 young girls. A year later, I was employed at a children's discovery farm in Sterling, MA. I worked here as a farmer, engaging with children on a regular basis and educating them about farm animals while interacting with their families. In 2015, I completed an internship at my university working with high school children with moderate to severe special needs, who took courses on campus. I mentored these students, assisting them in developing appropriate social skills and a sense of independence. During the Summer of 2015, I worked as a residential camp counselor in Pennsylvania. I lived in the bunk with three other counselors and 10-12 middle school girls for 6 weeks. Currently, I am completing an internship in Early Intervention, working with children ages 0-3 with developmental delays/disabilities and their families. I plan on working as an ABA therapist after graduation.
