Experience: 5 yrs
Making a difference in the lives of adults and seniors is what drives me. My five years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Certified Home Health Aide have solidified my passion for supporting well-being and independence. I hold a college degree and bring patience, compassion, and professionalism to every interaction. I'm skilled in respite care, transportation, errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medical management, and mobility assistance. I'm also experienced in de-escalating stressful situations, handling confusion, and incorporating memory care activities. I prioritize understanding each individual's preferences and history to build a strong connection. I provide verbal updates or regular texts, always following your preferred communication method. Knowing I can bring comfort and peace of mind to your family is why I love what I do.
When our dad became ill unexpectedly last year, he required 24/7 care. We realized we needed outside help and turned to care.com. We put together a care team, which included Linda. I am so glad we found her! Linda has been so wonderful to work with and does so well with my dad. Linda is mature, kind, compassionate, and she has a calming demeanor. Linda's professional and life experience include a range of tools and skills in managing a client like my dad. She exudes confidence and competence, which translates to a sense of comfort to my senior father. When she is caring for my dad, he is her focus, and I know he is safe with her. Linda communicates well with my dad, and he looks to her for comfort and direction. Linda actually listens to my dad and addresses his needs and concerns appropriately. She talks to him, not around him or at him. Linda pays attention to my dad's condition and immediately reports any changes in his behavior or health. I feel comfortable that she would know what to do in an emergency situation. Linda communicates effectively with the family, provides updates, she is always on time, and she is flexible and accommodating. If a task is incomplete, she does not vacate her shift until the task has been completed and the next caregiver is briefed and in place to take over, even if this means holding over past her shift end time. Linda is also respectful of family time and privacy. She has no problem excusing herself from the room so we can visit or chat in private. We have trusted Linda with the care of our father, to include administering medications and assistance with daily care needs, transportation, and activities. Linda is excellent with vulnerable adults, and I highly recommend her! Amy G.
