I have professional experience working as a social worker in a long-term care nursing home setting. In this role, I participated in care planning meetings, supported residents and families with communication and decision-making, and advocated for individualized, dignified care. My background has given me a strong understanding of the emotional, cognitive, and physical changes that can come with aging. I am experienced in working alongside interdisciplinary teams and communicating clearly with families to ensure continuity of care and support. While my hands-on personal care experience is minimal, I am comfortable providing companionship, supervision, meal assistance, light support, and safety monitoring.
