After decades in corporate and academe, I found myself happy and contented with my five solid years and six months of work experience in the home healthcare industry. I am a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Private Caregiver and/or Independent Care Provider. I take care of people who are vulnerable, unappreciated, and feel uncared for, young and old. I am a Private Caregiver assigned to a facility, a hospital in rare cases, or a home care setting. I assist in personal care, meal preparation, and resident/patient mobility: facilitating moving in and out of wheelchairs, walkers, and cars. Assist in activities of daily living that residents/patients may have difficulty with due to physical or cognitive limitations. Health monitoring ensures that residents/patients are in good health, taking their medications as prescribed, and accompanying residents/patients with appointment schedules. Report changes in condition to a nurse or medical staff. Write reports if required or necessary.
