I have been been a companion/aide of the elderly for about 14 years. I never thought it would be a career choice for me though. It started when I filled in for my sister's client; I actually loved it and have cared for 5 more people since then privately. My most recent little lady is 95 years old and I was with her for 5 years until August 2010 when her children decided to place her in an assisted living home. She was not only a client, but we became very close friends and I still visit her often. I have learned so much from my folks over the years. I enjoy hearing their interesting stories and often times they have given me so much valuable knowledge and advice! I love what I do!
