About Lovey

Hello! I'm Lovey. I'm a freelance journalist who works from home at odd hours and due to a change in life circumstances, I am currently returning to pet sitting after some time away and am in search of a few longer-term house-sitting stays for April and May 2026! Up until her passing in January at the age of 12, I cared for my beloved Frenchie mix Ellie her whole life, including the medication and mobility issues of her senior days. I am experienced with dogs and cats of all walks of life, and have a green thumb (and extensive collection of my own) when it comes to any plants that may need watering while you're out of town! I love dogs and exploring local neighborhoods on foot. I always take walks for the full half-hour or mile-long (whichever comes first) unless otherwise specified. My schedule is self-set at this point in my career, so l'm usually available for last minute requests during the work day so long as they are within a 20 mile radius of downtown Durham!
