About Luana

Luana cared for my mother at the end of her life, for almost two years. She was trustworthy, professional, gentle and caring, and performed the most personal tasks with a great attitude and a very positive approach. She is intelligent and a good conversationalist, and my mother adored her for her ready laugh, patient ear and panstaking care. She lived in our home night and day for two weeks at a time, and prepared meals, did light laundry and other tasks to help out, but her focus and her professionalism was always for my mother. She took her on outings - wheelchair and all - for lunch, brunch, pastries and walks up and down our street, making sure my mom got outside into the sunshine and fresh air. At the end of my mother's life, Luana was a huge help to the hospice and medical staff and to me, as I navigated the difficult decisions that come at such a time. I've worked with multiple caregivers in two cities as my mother declined, and Luana was hands down the very best. Any family that can hire her is very, very lucky.
