About Lyudmila

I am honored to write this recommendation for Lyudmila (Lucy), who cared for my father during his year at a memory care facility in Northbrook, Illinois. My dad lived with both Parkinson’s and Dementia, and finding someone who could understand and connect with him—especially as he became nonverbal—was a blessing we will always be grateful for. From the very beginning, Lucy approached my father with a calm, reassuring presence that brought him comfort on even the hardest days. Her ability to communicate with him without words, to sense what he needed, and to meet him where he was emotionally and physically was nothing short of extraordinary. She cared for him with genuine love and compassion, treating him as though he were a member of her own family. Lucy was also exceptional at gently redirecting my father when he became confused or agitated. Her patience, intuition, and steady demeanor consistently preserved his dignity and helped him feel safe. It was clear every day that she truly understood him—and truly cared. Our family will always consider Lucy a blessing. She not only supported my father through one of the most vulnerable chapters of his life, but she supported us as well, giving us peace of mind and comfort knowing he was in such capable, loving hands. Any family would be fortunate to have her caring for their loved one.
