Maddie called in sick the evening before her first day, citing a fever of under 100 for why she was unable to come. She confirmed she would be available the following day and then at 830pm said she could not come. The following week she came for a couple hours on Monday and confirmed she was ready and excited to start regular work day on Thursday as scheduled. Thursday morning she no called no showed and its been a week since then and she has still not reached out. Extremely disappointed, especially as we hired her over other candidates whom have now accepted other positions. The unexpected loss of childcare has resulted in me pausing my career. Nanny positions are highly personal and impactful for families. People should not accept positions they see not able/willing to commit to.
