Stay far away from this Maia person. She lied to me about her credentials, availability and competence. We hired her for Saturdays and Sundays to care for our 90 year-old Mom with advanced Parkinson's. I explained the difficulties of the position, and she assured me she possessed the appropriate experience. This was not true. She arrived late for training with another of our aides; then texted at 9pm that she was exhausted and wouldn't be coming back the next day. It through us into a panic for coverage at the last minute. It appeared to me that she was playing one weekend job against the other to see if a better situation existed. I found this extremely unethical, unprofessional and disturbingly deceptive. I took great pains to give Maia a truthful explanation of my Mom's condition, but she inevitably did not care.
